Past President Ellen Elia spoke about being “in the pink” spiritually, demonstrated by the iconic pink flamingo. Author Julia Bettenbourt wrote: the flamingo is born with gray feathers and as it grows, the feathers turn pink due to the flamingo digging at the bottom of the sand feeding on the best nutritional source for its diet. As Ellen explained, “We can all start off by focusing on feeding our souls from one of our richest resources—the Bible, adding a little more prayer time into our daily activities. Ellen led us in sharing with our nearby CCW sisters how and where we find time to pray each day. Several then shared our ideas, all in all, an emotional and inspiring program.
